Karla Haynes, executive director of Cleveland County Community Development Corp. and an Initiative board member, has been selected into the Gallery of Distinguished Alumni for Gardner-Webb University.
The selection recognizes Haynes’s contributions in her community and in the field of community economic development. Haynes will be inducted into the Gallery during a President’s Reception on Oct. 27, during Gardner-Webb’s homecoming weekend.
“I am truly honored,” said Haynes. “Gardner Webb University has been the foundation for advancement in my career and obtaining advanced degrees.”
Established in 1988, the Gallery of Distinguished Alumni features outstanding alumni who demonstrate the values upon which Gardner-Webb was founded. These alumni are selected for helping to shape local and global communities while serving to inspire current and prospective students.
