Mountain Housing Opportunities seeks donations for Family-to-Family Furnace Fund

November 27, 2022 – Mountain Housing Opportunities (MHO) in Asheville replaced or repaired 23 furnaces for residents in its western N.C. service area in 2012. It seeks to raise $33,000 to install or repair more furnaces this year.

Winter cold can be dangerous, especially to senior citizens. A furnace breakdown can have dangerous or tragic consequences.

MHO’s Family-To-Family-Furnace Fund repairs or replaces furnaces for families who would otherwise have to choose between paying for heat or other necessities, such as groceries or medicine.
